PRAYER LINES FOR FRIDAY, JANUARY 22, 2010
PRAY FOR OUR NATION!!! (2 Chronicles 7:14)
NEW PRAYERS
FARMER, KEN, 2516 Korn Street, Niles, MI 49120 is asking for our prayers. His son, Mark, writes: „Dad hasn‚t been feeling well for probably a month and either his EKG or similar test revealed that he has aortic stenosis, which is a calcification of the aortic valve, resulting in a decreased blood flow to his heart. In his case, it's only working at about 40% efficiency. That explains why his energy level is low and his heart rhythm is irregular. As I understand it, he isn't a candidate for surgery due to his overall health situation. He is working with a licensed doctor, who is helping him try to reverse the problem through natural means. I am not sure whether a more "conventional" pharmaceutical treatment is available (other than surgery) or even whether he would take it. His cardiologist had scheduled him for a chemical stress test, but his other doctor urged him not to go through with it. In effect he told Dad, "We already know that your heart is stressed." He explained that if he were to undergo the test in the cardiologist's office, the stress might cause him to go into cardiac arrest, and the cardiologist would be unable to stop it. Even though the cardiologist's office is located next to the hospital, there is no guarantee that irreversible damage or death would not result from it. It turns out that this was good advice. As I understand it, cardiac arrest is a very real possibility during stress tests in patients with aortic stenosis. I have no information yet about additional treatment and prognosis. I‚m sure he would appreciate cards, calls or emails. Since he doesn‚t have an email account of his own, you can send them to me at markfarmer4@aol.com and I will be glad to print them out and get them to him. Mark‰ Please pray for Ken and send your best wishes in card or email.
GILL, FRED, long time Church of God member in Tulsa was admitted to the Tulsa South Crest Hospital to have gall bladder surgery Thursday morning. He is also dealing with a kidney stone! He was initially rushed to the hospital Wednesday thinking he was having a heart problem (possible heart attack), but his heart is in excellent condition and the problems turned out to be the gall bladder and kidney stones. (Surgery was done yesterday, but no results are known, at present.) Please pray that the surgery was successful and ask God‚s blessings on Mr. Gill.
HORNER, GAYLE, long time Church of God member in Oklahoma City, is suffering from neuropathy in her extremities and is in need of God's healing power to give her relief. Please pray for her.
LAY, GLENN, of Okmulgee, OK, underwent surgery in Oklahoma City on Wednesday (1/20) for a large growth to his upper left chest around his pacemaker site. The doctor had determined that his heart was strong enough now to remove the pacemaker and it was removed. Following the surgery the family was told that the surgery was better than any he had done before, that the
surgery went better than any he had done before; that the body had encased the pacemaker in a sack and he removed it all. The leads all came out clean with no problems at all; no bleeding and no complications. Glenn is now scheduled for another surgery on Thursday, January 28th, to remove the large growth to his left upper chest area, a much more extensive surgery. Glen and his family are very appreciative of all the prayers on his behalf and request continued prayers that this next surgery will also go well and that no complications will occur. Please remember Glenn on Wednesday.
LINDER FAMILY: I received an email asking for prayers for this family. Ralph Linder was found to be in what seems to be a murder-suicide situation. The family is asking for prayers for God‚s help in this situation.
L. R. (lonelydove25@yahoo.com), PO Box 524, Spencer IN 47460, writes: „My grandmother is hospitalized in Florida. She is very ill and going downhill fast. I‚m afraid that, because of her age, she can‚t hold on. I‚m a 25 year old college student. I‚ve been praying and crying so much; I need her and she needs me. I really need help (financially) to get to Florida to see her. She raised me, my parents died when I was very young. I‚m the only family she has. Your prayers for her health and my finding a way to get to her, would be greatly appreciated.
POLLOCK, GINGER, 10910 E 61st #127, Tulsa OK 74133, is suffering lots of back pain. She is the caregiver for her ailing mother, and last week, her brother‚s cancer came back in his lungs. She is quite depressed and hurting with her back pain; having a hard time coping with everything. I‚m sure she would appreciate some uplifting cards from all of us along with our prayers for her and her family.

OVERTON, MAC, PO Box 246, Gilmer TX 75644 pancreatic cancer ˆ UPDATE: Mac writes: „I underwent CyberKnife surgery on my pancreatic tumor in October. (It's another way Star Trek changed our world, you lie there and watch a movie and a giant ray gun blasts the tumor. They don't have to cut you open.) Doctors believe it was successful and they got it all. I feel a little stronger every day, but am still very weak in the evenings. Thanks for the continued prayers.
