Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your

hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

Psalm 43:5

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me-Philippians 4:13

ONLY YOU

Oh Lord, My God, search my heart.
Please, search every inch, every part.

Purge my heart Lord, of any wicked thing.
Fill my heart with a new song to sing.

Clean my heart Lord, make it brand new.
Teach me to do all that, “You,” want me to do.

Wash my heart Lord, whiter than snow.
Fill it with the wisdom You want me to know.

With the Spirit, my heart, please fill.
Mold me and use me Lord, to do Your will.

With a clean heart Lord, all that I do,
Will bring honor and glory to You, “only You.”

“Only You” Lord, can change my internal condition.
And to “only You” will I dedicate my submission.

To follow Your lead, is how I’ll spend my remaining days.
Now to everlasting to “only You,”
will I sing, songs of praise.

MY TIMES ARE IN THY HAND

My times are in Thy hand. Psalm 31:15

My times are in Thy hand,
Such
grace to sustain my way,
Trusting all to what Thou in wisdom planned.
Our Lord knows our need day by day.

My times are in Thy hand,
Such
guidance to direct my way,
Depending not on what I understand,
But on Him Who keeps me lest I stray.

My times are in Thy hand,
Such
goodness to bless my way,
Providing from Thy storehouse at Thy command
Thy sweetness in glorious display.

My times are in Thy hand,
Such glory to delight my way,
Displaying the riches of that Heavenly Land,
That shall be mine when I am there to stay.

FRIENDS

I Thank you Lord, for all my friends

Each one is dear to me
For all the smiles and glowing hearts
I seem to always see.

They're there in times of good and bad
Their love, they always share
They fill me with unending joy
And show me that they care.

I see them as the shining stars
God placed them there with care
I may not always see their smiles
But know they're always there.

THE WONDER OF PRAYER!

Have you considered the wonder of prayer?

That we can pray anytime, anywhere?
That we can lift our hearts to God above?
To one who cares for us with his tender love?

Oh, how good to turn to him when in need!
To know he listens, that he pays heed!
To bring our burdens to him, and to bring our care!
To sense he's waiting just to meet us there!

God wants us to bring our needs to him,
whether they're big or small.
None are overlooked by him.
He's concerned about them all.

If you are God's child,
here's what you should do:
Pray to him daily.
He wants to hear from you.

Pray in the name of Jesus,
God's own beloved Son.
He honors the name of Jesus,
and remarkable things get done.

Give thanks for God's answers
given to your prayers.
They are his reminders
that he really, truly cares!

SALVATION PLANNED

Before this world, our God did made,
A plan for man, the foundation laid,
To redeem mankind, from wicked ways,
Yes, ‘tis true, we’ve all astrayed,
From paths of right, to pits of wrong,
By ones, by twos, and by great throngs.

But how and why, would God so choose,
To save all those, whom Him abused,
By becoming a man, and reverse the fall,
Because of His love, to great and small,
As a child indeed, he was to be born,
To be tempted, mocked, and even scorned.

With signs and wonders, He did confess,
That God himself, had come in the flesh,
But evil men, with hearts so cold,
And even some, from his own fold,
Desired Him dead, without a cause,
To which they did, with great applause,

But the physical pain, which he endured,
Is not what our, salvation secured,
It was the fact, that he became sin,
That we became, His next of kin,
So praise the Lord, our God and King,
Shout thanks to God, Hosanna sing!

THE SPIRIT OF THANKSGIVING

In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
1 Thessalonians 5:18

May we always focus on the good
And count our blessings as we should.
May all our complaints departM
And thank God with a grateful heart.

Our troubles may be the same,
But we can still praise His good name!
Our load may be hard to bear,
But thank God, the Loadbearer is there.

We will forget to complain
And not mention life’s pain,
If our days are filled with praise,
And we thank God in all our ways.

Don’t think that things are so bad,
And don’t live with a heart so sad.
Countless blessings are ours each day.
Let us thank God when we kneel and pray.
